We open up to a woman working in a lab with the victims of the bat attack on Gotham. A young boy is there, who was completely cured by the serum (which we know was Safiyah’s precious Desert Rose) and the serum also cured his cancer, too. The lab tech tests a serum on another victim, but he dies on impact.

Her boss comes in and demands that she keep trying, knowing that the serum could cure cancer. They then go to a man named Aaron, who is locked up for some kind of disease. The Boss tells Aaron they need him to help find the allusive serum… but more on that later.

Cut to Ryan kicking ass, as always, in the alley. Suddenly she is filled with extreme pain, and we jump to the hospital. Ang is with Ryan, and she helps get a doctors attention to help, and pays Ryan’s medical bills while she’s at it. We love a protective girlfriend.

Jump over to Alice and Ocean, where Ocean says he wasn’t the one who killed Kate. He trained Safiyah’s army and tried to bail with one of the desert roses.

Meanwhile, Mary and Kane are riding in the care. Sophie calls and says the Napier painting in fake AF and she knows where to find Ocean. Kane sends her off to work on that, and right as he hangs up a truck crashes into them. Aaron hops out, and takes Mary out of the car…

Sophie shows up at the bar to chat with Ryan; she asks her to follow Ang, and help to track her phone. She believes that Ocean is Ang’s boss (she’s a drug dealer, remember?) Ryan agrees, if Sophie will get rid of Ang’s file afterwards.

While all of this is going down, we open on Mary and Kane. They have been kidnapped by Aaron, and tied to chairs in Mary’s underground clinic (that Kane doesn’t know about.) Aaron lets them know it’s his first time holding hostages and that his brain is “wonky.” He asks Mary for the antidote, and she tells him that it is completely gone, and he’ll have to find the Desert Rose. However, Kane is realizing for the first time he knows literally nothing about his daughter, and Mary tells him everything about the clinic. Typical.

Ryan’s Kryptonite infection worsens, but she still manages to put spyware on Ang’s phone when Ang goes to get her medicine. The two fight about Ang being a drug dealer, and Ang leaves in a huff. Cut to Ryan giving the spyware to Sophie, and realizing that she’s radioactive (!!!) from the infection.

Aaron threatens to kill Kane if Mary doesn’t reveal the location of the rose. He tells them that he has brain cancer, and stabs Kane. This causes Mary to tell Aaron about Coryana and the rose being there.

Speaking of, Alice and Ocean keep talking about Coryana. Alice reveals that they used to be lovers…

Luke and Ryan meet up at the Batcave and Luke tells her all about his last encounter with Alice. Mary calls Luke right at that moment, and asks that he brings the Coryana map to her in the clinic. Ryan and Luke know something is up and spring into action… but Ryan collapses in pain and tells Luke everything about her infection.

Alice leaves Ocean to call one of Safiyah’s henchman, but Safiyah answers instead. Alice calls her out about Ocean, and Safiyah deflects.

Alice fights Ocean, which causes them both to have flashbacks of falling in love. At that moment, Sophie walks in and threatens them. Ocean gives her the map to Coryana.

Luke lets Ryan go to Mary, and she and Sophie both get to the clinic at the same time basically, but not before Aaron tells Mary and Kane that Hamilton doctors screwed up his brain surgery and made him this way. Aaron tries to kill them, right as Ryan shows up.

Some masked agents (the doctors from the beginning?) hold a gun to Sophie’s head until Ryan gives them the map for Coryana. YIKES.

Mary is safe back at the office with Luke. Luke tells her that the only way to save Ryan’s life is to find the Desert Rose. Mary wants to get Kane’s help, but when she goes to him, he says he is shutting down her clinic. Distraught, Mary quickly leaves.

Meanwhile, Ryan is ready to tell Ang she may be dying. However, Ang calls her out on the spyware, and the two get into a huge argument. Ang storms out before Ryan can tell her. Oh, and Sophie heard the entire thing through the spyware, naturally.

Cut to Alice killing Ocean and calling Safiyah to tell her the deed is done. But… was it? Ocean comes walking in shortly after, revealing that the body was a fake.

Roll credits.
