We open where we left off last time, with Alice realizing that Circe is really Kate. Alice tries to tell Circe that she is Kate, and Roman (Black Mask) walks in and dismisses her. Alice reluctantly leaves.

Cut to someone in their car picking up some Snake Bite, and Batwoman comes in to catch the SB dealer red handed. Instead, she follows the random guy to an abandoned church, where lots of homeless people are squatting. Ryan (as Batwoman) sees a woman off to the side, who is eating human flesh.

More on the zombies later, because now we’re at the bar and Ryan is holding a fundraiser for the shelter. Ryan and Imani FLIRT ALERT, as Imani tells Ryan she looks cute. We love to see it.

Meanwhile, another Random Guy is in his car about to do Snake Bite. RG notices that the SB is blue, which isn’t right, but decides to take it anyway. His eyes then turn cat-like, and it’s clear that he is a Zombie…

Back at the bar, some police show up based on a “noise complaint.” The white male officer says that “you people” need to keep it down – Ryan protests, and Luke jumps in to help. However, the officer slams both Ryan and Luke to the ground and arrests them for assaulting an officer. Yikes.

Sophie shows up afterwards and asks the officer what happened. He refuses to tell her, so she looks at his record and tells him that she is a Crow. The officer doesn’t seem to care, and arrests Sophie as well… for no apparent reason, other than she was “being aggressive” despite outranking him. It seems the only reason she could be arrested, is for being Black, but more on that later.

Random Guy is starving, and tries to eat a woman in the alley. He lets her go because he’s conscious enough to know he doesn’t want to eat a human. A cop comes to try to help him, and other homeless Zombies eat the cop, helping Random Guy to run away.

Meanwhile, Alice has gone to Enigma’s office and tied her up. Alice calls Enigma out on what she did to Kate (erasing her memory and making her think she is actually Circe.) Alice wants to break Kate’s spell, and Enigma tells her to find something that is important to Kate to help trigger her memory.

Perhaps you’re wondering, where has Mary been this whole time? Well, she is at her clinic helping her father detox off of Snake Bite. As she talks to Kane, Random Guy bursts in and locks himself to a clinic bed. He says that he is going to try to eat Mary, and he needs help. Way to make an entrance, guy.

Alice goes to an abandoned underground train car where Ocean is, and tells him what is going down.

In jail, Sophie and Ryan talk about changing the system. Sophie says she wanted to create change from within, which is why she joined the Crows. Sophie tells Ryan that she doesn’t have the luxury of a secret identity, and she stands up in front of the world as Sophie, every day. In that moment, a guy gets arrested for stealing a car (his name is Eli) and tells Ryan, Sophie, and Luke about the Zombies. At that moment, the Bat Signal is turned on, for which Ryan can’t answer since… you know, she’s in jail.

Imani comes to save the day, and bails Ryan and the gang out. She asks Ryan on a date, but Ryan declines since she has to go save the city. Speaking of saving the city, Kane and Mary work together in the clinic to help those who have been injured by the Zombies. Cute.

Ryan and Luke call Mary from the Batcave, and Mary says she knows how to stop the Zombie infection from Snake Bite. However, Ryan will have to inject each person one-by-one.

Sophie is also trying to help, and heads to Crow HQ. She says they need to spread out to help the Zombies; Tavaroff challenges Sophie, saying it’s out of their jurisdiction. Sophie pulls rank, saying she is active commander when Kane is gone, and Tavaroff reluctantly takes his team out to save the city.

Ocean and Alice go to Enigma; Ocean helps her down, and Alice presents Kate’s motorcycle keys as the item to restore her memory. Alice tells Enigma the keys represent freedom to Kate, and Enigma says that they will work along with Kate’s trigger word. Before Enigma can tell Alice the trigger word, Ocean kills her.

Ryan heads to the church to help the Zombies, despite them ganging up on her. As she is injecting them, Tavaroff busts in and murders all of them saying they “can’t be helped.” Sophie and Ryan are enraged.

Kane and Mary talk at the clinic, and Mary calls him out for using SB to see his lost daughters. Kane agrees, but they don’t have long to hash things out before Random Guy chews off his own hand and breaks free. Kane yells for Random Guy to leave, and when he does a cop shows up to stop him. Random Guy jumps in to eat the cop, but Ryan (as Batwoman) appears and saves the cop’s life. It’s important to note that it’s the same cop that arrested Ryan earlier.

After this, Ryan is with Sophie and Luke at the bar. She reads the news off her phone, how the Crows saved the city from the Zombies… Sophie tells them she is leaving the Crows, officially.

Remember how Ocean just killed Enigma? Alice is furious, yelling at him, asking why. Ocean tells her he loves her, and he killed Enigma to save Alice from the torment of having Kate back. Ocean believes that Kate never had Alice’s back, and points out the irony of the fact Kate’s vice was freedom (when she left Alice in a cell for eleven years…)

Ryan asks Imani to come to the bar; Ryan basically says that they can’t date because she has too much going on in her life, and that her other identity would hurt Imani in the long run. POOP!

Mary calls Luke and asks him to meet her for a drink; Luke is on his way, but see Eli (the guy from jail) stealing another car. Luke takes a photo of Eli doing so, and tries to encourage Eli to stop. Tavaroff shows up at that moment, and suspects that Luke is the one stealing the car (because he’s Black.) Luke pulls out his phone to show Tavaroff the photo he took, and Tavaroff shoots Luke three times. Luke falls to the ground, and the episode fades out.
