Afternoon Delight: Wendi McLendon-Covey returns to “Modern Family” as lesbian mom, Jillian Michaels is back on “Biggest Loser”

Let’s start with some breaking news:

Fitness guru Jillian Michaels returned to The Biggest Loser this week. Check out a five-minute clip from the premiere episode.

Wendi McLendon-Covey will reprise her role as the lesbian mom/Cameron’s nemesis on this season’s Modern Family. (My money’s on Wendi.)

I have no idea why Michelle “Mitchie Likes Sausage” Rodriguez and Lindsay Lohan are in this movie, but if you have the stomach for it and like offensive comedy, click this link to watch the NSFW trailer for the film InAPPropriate Comedy.

Elle Fanning, Alice Englert, Annette Bening and Christina Hendricks star in the drama Ginger & Rosa, due in theaters this fall.

A UK survey (taken from 1,000 kids) named Emma Watson‘s Hermione Granger as the best film role model.

D.E.B.S.’s Meagan Good stars in the new NBC detective drama Deception, premiering tonight at 10 pm.

Community writer Karey Dornetto made me smile with this tweet:

Do you think Neil Patrick Harris‘ Super Bowl ad is “pushing the gay agenda“? (This is a rhetorical question.)

If you live in Los Angeles join South of Nowhere‘s Mandy Musgrave, Maeve Quinlan and the cast of the lesbian cowgirl webseries Cowgirl Up for their season two premiere party on Saturday, January 12 at 7 pm.

Director Steven Soderbergh revealed that his Liberace biopic Behind The Candelabra, starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, was a hard sell. Soderbergh told the NY Post, “Nobody would make it. We went to everybody in town. They all said it was too gay.” Luckily the film will debut on HBO this spring.
