Morning Brew – Keyshia Cole dances for her masculine self in “She” video

Good morning!

I am living for Keyshia Cole‘s sexy new video for “She.” I know you will love it, too.

Reminds me of that Pink video for “Sober,” minus the making out.

If you love Kate Moennig, you’re in luck. Showtime will release webisodes starring her Ray Donovan character Lena and partner in crime Avi (Steven Bauer) every week, starting August 3. The series is called Behind the Fix and will show how Lena and Avi carry out Ray’s orders on the episodes that air on TV.

Monica Lewinsky is pissed Orange is the New Black used her last name as a negative reference.

Uzo Aduba participated in a Reddit Q&A and said the most emotionally draining scene for her to film on Orange was when she was violent with Poussey.

In season 2, it was really challenging for both myself as the actor to watch Suzanne take on Poussey in such a violent way (because I not only love Poussey the character, but I absolutely adore Samira Wiley). So that was hard.

That was emotionally draining for me to watch, too. I prefer this one.

Sarah MacLachlan once had a nice night with a female bartender, but wants fans to know she’s not bisexual.

People are always interested in how people bend. I’ve never shied away from it. I mean, I’m pretty straight. Let me just put it this way: I’ve never had sex with a woman. I haven’t. I’ve made out with more than one woman, but it just sort of happened. And there may have been alcohol involved during one of them.

A new book about Dusty Springfield (Dusty: An Intimate Portrait, by Karen Bartlett) makes mention of her bisexuality. From a review:

Dusty ‘wanted to be straight and she wanted to be a good Catholic and she wanted to be black’, sums up Norma Tanega, one of her partners. But Dusty operated at a time when ‘being gay was career poison’, so instead she went to pieces. The industry was so ‘homophobic and sexist, being a lesbian was considered awful and shocking’. Nor did newspapers want to know. ‘In those days girls in her situation didn’t come out and talk about being gay or bisexual.’ If actresses, they played tweedy old maids or sour housekeepers, like Agnes Moorehead. Or perhaps they became dog breeders or managed a garden centre. Maybe they became nuns. If you were Noele Gordon, you ran the gamut.
