The AfterEllen.com Huddle: Our dream Halloween Costumes

If time and money (and sewing talent) weren’t an issue, who or what would you dress as for Halloween?

Trish Bendix: I have always had a dream of going as the Queen of Hearts from Disney’s animated Alice in Wonderland. But I don’t want to buy a cheap and fake or sexified version-I want a straight up, well-done white, black, gold and red dress made of velvet with a hoop skirt and huge white collar. Basically I want a ballgown and a grand Halloween ball to wear it to. Some day!

Dana Piccoli: Cristal Connors in Showgirls. With the cowboy hat of course. I’d need a Nomi in her best Versase though.

Lucy Hallowell: A couple years ago we went to Washington, DC with our kids. In the Air & Space Museum gift shop they had the most kickass astronaut costumes-flight suits, jumpsuits, anything you could dream of wearing. They were about a billion dollars for little kids so I can’t imagine what they would be for adults. If money were no object, I would wear the hell out of one of those orange astronaut flight suits. I would probably just wear it all the time.

Kim Hoffman: Jane Lane. Just need a Daria and a Trent and a bunch of pizza. Would probably host a Jackson Pollack Tribute Dance, and be gay.

Elaine Atwell: Just once, I want to go for a full-body, top-of-the-line Darth Vader get-up and not tell a single soul all night who I am. Just BREATHE AT THEM.

Natasha Negovanlis: One of my many Halloween dreams would be to convince the cast of Carmilla to go out with me as our characters, dressed up as the five main Sailor Scouts. (Inception!) Just picture this: Carmilla as Sailor Mars, Laura as Sailor Moon, Perry as Sailor Venus, Danny as Sailor Jupiter, and Laf as Sailor Mercury. Although, I do think Laf would also make a great Sailor Uranus, and if I was going out alone I would probably be one of my favourite scouts growing up: Neptune or Jupiter. Though I, like Carmilla, am a Rei through and through.

Ali Davis: I’d want to do the full-on Ripley in the loader outfit from Aliens, both for the sheer fun of thundering around in it and for the pleasure of claiming my crush on the dance floor by shouting “Get away from her, you bitch!”

Erin Faith Wilson: I would love to be Neytiri from Avatar and I would make my wife go as the female version of Jake Sully (when he became an Avatar not as the human).

Valerie Anne: If I was super fit and had all the money in the world I’d probably go as Thea’s Red Arrow or Nyssa al Ghul from Arrow. Or maybe Bobbi Morse from Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. and her electrocuting battle staves so I could do this:

Chelsea Steiner: I would love to dress in a full-scale Tank Girl costume, complete with missile bra, a tank, and Naomi Watts riding shotgun as Jet Girl. Also, Joan Jett would ride behind us Doof Warrior-style playing “Let’s Do It”. A girl can dream…

Bridget McManus: Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

Lindsay King-Miller: I have often dreamed of having the energy and makeup skills to costume myself and my partner as The Gentlemen from Buffy. I’d wear roller skates with pants long enough to cover them so it looked like I was just creepily gliding around.
