Styled Out: Pretty in purple

I can’t tell you how many Facebook Invites I’ve received over the past week regarding the recent movement sparked by columnist Dan Savage. Are you all set with a plethora of purple options for honoring your fellow gay comradres on Oct. 20?

Those who know me know that I am a supporter and lover of subtlety and accents in an ensemble and an awesome pair of sneakers totally does the trick. I am kind of obsessed with these high tops by Karmaloop. They’re a classic that will absolutely draw attention to you in every which way.

Rather throw on a pair of flats? That’s cool. I like these by Steve Madden and, as luck would have it, it appears that they’re on sale in the current. Holler!

You could always get straight up Prince about it and get a jacket.

I like Miss Sixty’s take on the pea coat. You could also follow this girl’s lead and just wear the dude straight up. I mean, it might take some people a minute for all the facts to click, but in the end it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.

I love a good knit shirt for these awesome autumn days and never failing to please me is Anthropologie with their Raining Lines Henley top.

One of my recent revelations has been Urban Outfitter’s super-cool awesome deal on the softest T-shirts you’ve ever laid your eyes on. I can honestly admit that I’m obsessed with them and purchased a purple one on absolute purpose yesterday for the impending day. Every BDG T-shirt is 2 for $24, everyday. Do it, already.

Will you be honoring you and yours?
