Morning Brew: Monday, November 29: Nicki Minaj says she feigned bisexuality for attention, Jamie Lauren on Team Rainbow’s return

Good morning. I hope you all had a really nice, long weekend. I can’t lie — I missed you.

Top Chef: All Stars starts this week (Dec. 1) and Bravo has some sneak peek videos with the contestants, including each chef talking about their “all-star moments” from their previous season. Jamie Lauren says it was the Team Rainbow designation that has followed her around since she appeared.

So will we see that rainbow T-shirt again? Probably unlikely.

Nicki Minaj did a candid interview with Rolling Stone, which included discussions about her childhood, her career and her sexuality. Rolling Stone writes:

Early in her career Minaj claimed to be bisexual, but now says she just did that to get attention. “I think girls are sexy,” she says. “But I’m not going to lie and say that I date girls.”

So she continues to clarify that she does not date or sleep with women, despite what she might rap or act out in videos. But it worked, right? She got the attention.

But she’s also apparently joined the mass of women who finds Cheryl Cole hot.

Sick of Sarah have a hot new video for “Kick Back.” I, for one, appreciate the Bruce Springfield-esque booty shots of Abisha.

Out has released videos from behind-the-scenes of its Hot 100. In this clip, you can see Rachel Maddow shooting pictures we didn’t get to see, where she’s posing as a DJ.

She’s such a smart lady. She really needs her own Out cover, if you ask me.

The cast of Venice: The Series have recorded a PSA for The Trevor Project.

I think they want you to stick around. Or was it me they want to stick around?

They also have some new video interviews that gives some insight into the new season. Here’s part one.

You can watch part two here.

KT Tunstall is the most gracious non-lesbian with tons of lesbian fans. She told a reporter that she has “a couple of songs for sure that could be taken for Sapphic love songs,” citing her famous “Suddenly I See” as one example. Well I didn’t think of it like that before, but now I will.

Key West’s lesbian-only resort, Pearl’s Rainbow, has been forced to open up its doors to anyone who wants to live there. The owners say they can’t be so exclusive anymore because of the recession. The Miami-Herald notes that the nine all-male resorts have no plans to open their doors to all-welcome. They seem to be doing fine. Story of our lives.

I’ll cheer you up with a few more pictures of the new Skins cast from Nylon.
