Morning Brew – Mon., June 27: Jillian Michaels’ hush-hush relationship, a lesbian good at softball on “Men of a Certain Age”

Good morning! And, first thing’s first, congratulations to the state of New York for being the newest state to legally grant marriage equality. This truly is great news for all of us, including one excited Naya Rivera.

If you watched the premiere of True Blood last night, you’ll know we have ourselves another queer woman on the show. In the interest of not spoiling those of you who have yet to watch, I’ll say no more. I just want you Trubies to know we’ll have a story on it later, as well as a recap.

Amber Heard looked fab, as always, at an event for partner/artist Tasya Van Ree over the weekend.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s resident witch Willow made it to #7 on Crave Online’s list of the sexiest witches in movies and TV.

Are there different sets of etiquette for gay and straight people? The New York Times investigates.

Jillian Michaels is on the cover of Fitness this month and she also shares her workout playlist.

Perhaps more interesting is the New York Times profile of her and her brand, which also mentions this tidbit:

She has dated both men and women, but right now, said her publicist, Ashley Sandberg, “She is not in a relationship that needs to be spoken about.”

An interesting choice of words, don’t you think?

Great news for me and you both! Sick of Sarah, Vanity Theft and Hunter Valentine are hitting the road together for the Lady Killer Tour, which kicks off in August. If you’ve ever wondered, “Where will I meet a nice girl who is into cool music like me?” find out where these bands are playing near you.

Tonight, don’t miss the season premiere of Weeds, where Mary Louise-Parker engages in some salaciousness with her cellmate.

The lesbian character on Men of a Certain Age is a bit part for Emily Rios, but if you’ve always wanted to watch her on the show, TNT has posted all 20 episodes of the series online. On a recent episode, she joined the men’s softball team because she played in high school and also told the men she’s obviously into the sport because she’s a lesbian. (Duh!) Start at 19:00 and watch it happen.
