Afternoon Delight: Rosie bans Piers from appearing on her show, what Fiona Shaw’s brain looks like on poetry

Happy birthday to Tegan and Sara Quin! The musical sisters turn 31 today. What are the odds that these twins would share the same birthday?

Rosie O’Donnell‘s new talk show hasn’t even aired yet and she’s already banning guests. O’Donnell has forbidden CNN’s Piers Morgan from appearing on The Rosie Show, since he banned O’Donnell’s friend and former A League of her Own co-star Madonna from his.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, O’Donnell said, “Yes I’ve banned Piers Morgan. He banned Madonna for no reason when his show started, so I’m banning Piers Morgan! I don’t have anybody banned, but if I have to make a list, he’s on it.” Proving once and for all that a lesbian can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

If you haven’t hit your Jane Lynch overload yet, then check out her interview in Sunday’s New York Times. The interviewer showed up on The Three Stooges set and noticed Lynch’s sweater was on inside out. That happens to me all the time!

Back in 2009, True Blood scene-stealer and out actress Fiona Shaw participated in an exhibition on human identity. Shaw had her brain scanned while performing different parts of T.S. Eliot‘s poem “The Waste Land” to find out what would happen to her brain when she’s performing a role compared to when she’s reading off a list of numbers. Conclusion: the actor’s brain is complex – like everyone else’s.
