Morning Brew – Fri. April 27: Ellen reads from “50 Shades of Grey,” Maddow, Lynch and more on Out’s Power List

TGIF!

Fringe has been renewed for a fifth and final season, so we’ll get 13 more episodes of Anna Torv and Jasika Nicole.

Alison Bechdel’s Fun Home is on the list of Time‘s Top 10 Graphic Memoirs. As it should be!

Sarah Jaffe premiered her video for “Glorified High” today and I am loving the tiny dancer.

OMG Yahoo has an article on how Ellen became vegan. Basically, it was a friend who told her “If you knew what chicken looked like or you knew how chicken was made, you’d never eat it again.” It was that easy for her to give up meat, eggs, and almost everything! Well, she has a personal chef, so that helps, I’m sure.

Speaking of Ellen, she’s #2 on Out magazine’s annual Power List. Other gay women include Rachel Maddow (#4), U.S. Representative Tammy Baldwin (#12), NYC council speaker Christine Quinn (#24), Suze Orman (#25), Jane Lynch (#47) and a handful more.

What? More Ellen, you say? Well, lucky for you, I have this hilarious video of Ellen reading from the very sexy book, 50 Shades of Grey.

In case you missed LP’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, here she is doing “Into the Wild.”
