Morning Brew – Tues. Sept. 11: Remembering 9/11’s lesbian victims, a lesbian misfit wows on “The Voice”

Good morning all! I’m back from Las Vegas and have so many goodies to share with you. But first, I’d like to pay tribute to the lesbian victims of 9/11. Never let them be forgotten.

Today we remember Renee Barrett, survived by her partner Enez Cooper and her son Eddie; Pamela Boyce, survived by partner Catherine Anello; Carol Flyzik, survived by partner Nancy Walsh; Sheila Hein, survived by partner Peggy Neff; Patricia McAneney, survived by partner Margaret Cruz; and Catherine Smith, survived by partner Elba Cedeno. May they rest in peace.

On last night’s The Voice, De’Borah Garner made me like a Train song. That’s not so easy to do. I’m still mad the DJ played this song at my wedding. I digress. De’Borah is a rad gay singer that is now on Team Christina! Check out her blind audition from last night’s episode.

Congratulations to Christina Wilson, who won on last night’s Hell’s Kitchen finale! Looks like Gordon Ramsey doesn’t think all lesbians are pigs. (I’ll never forgive him for that, basically.) Thanks for the tip, Mary!

A Teen Mom kinda sorta kissed a friend of hers while in Las Vegas. Let the lesbian rumors begin!

Maggie Smith was discussing her religous beliefs during a Downtown Abbey press junket and said something a little LOL-worthy about one of her co-stars.

I know there is something out there and like most people, I tend to believe in it more when things go bad. But I’m not like Shirley MacLaine, who probably believes we were past lovers in another life.

Whomever Shirley believes in is surely the coolest Goddess around.

Speaking of hilarious, apparently Amber Heard is now dating anyone she goes to dinner with, including Harrison Ford.

GLAAD has created this handy graphic to remind One Million Moms of all the LGBT families featured on TV over the years. They can stop boycotting great shows any time now.

Elvis & Madonna follows a lesbian photographer named Elvis who delivers pizza on her motorcycles. That should entice you enough to watch the trailer.

The DVD will be available on October 30.

Do not forget that Bomb Girls premieres in the U.S. tonight on the Reelz Channel. We’ll have a recap up tomorrow!
