“A Shot at Love” with … uh, somebody else

I have a confession to make: I’ve been watching A Shot at Love With Tila Tequlia. I sort of hate myself for it. There are a lot of things wrong with the show — you know that if you watch The Lo-Down or read Karman’s recaps (or, well, if you have a few remaining brain cells).

Despite that, a lot of people seem to find the twisted battle of the sexes entertaining, so MTV is planning a second season. So you, too, can have your own shot at love. As the casting website puts it,

“We’re scouring the country once more in search of the most eligible, alluring, outrageous, and adventurous men and women to go head-to-head for a chance to win the heart of our bi-sexual bacehlorette in the ultimate battle of the sexes.”

There’s one wrinkle, though (two, if you count that inexplicable hyphen in bi-sexual). Tila herself has supposedly found her true love and won’t be returning as the star.

If you’re interested anyway and think you have what it takes — not that I can figure out what it takes, exactly — fill out an application online. You’ll have to “stereotype yourself” (“Are you a player? Hopeless romantic? Shy girl?”) and answer a lot of inane questions like “Why look to TV for love?” but I encourage you to go for it anyway. Because then you can give AfterEllen.com an exclusive interview!
