Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts Get Married

Best known for her roles on Claws and Reno 911, where she gave the iconic quote, “you can’t fight crime if you ain’t cute,” Niecy Nash surprised everyone when she posted photos of her wedding on Instagram. In an interview with People Magazine she states, “I don’t feel like my marriage is my coming out of anywhere, but rather a going into myself and being honest about who I love.” What a sweet way to put it. The couple connected on social media in 2015 when Nash was still married to her ex-husband. Nash states she and Betts were friends, but she “never saw her as someone I would date.” There is hope, ladies! Shoot your shot!

Brazil Gives Equal Pay to Women’s National Soccer Team

It’s about damn time. But what does this mean exactly? Well, both male and female players will receive the same daily wage and prize amounts for participating in preparation periods and games. This also applies to international tournaments like the World Cup and the Olympics. Let’s not forget that one of soccer’s GOATS, six-time FIFA World Player of the Year and known lesbian Marta captains the Brazil Women’s National Team. But let’s not forget about Christiane, Debinha, and Barbara who are also lesbians. Meanwhile, the USWNT, perhaps the most decorated of the women’s national teams, is still in a fierce battle with the USSF over equal pay. They need to catch up.

Chelsea Women Sign Pernille Harder

The English club acquired the Danish national team captain with a three-year contract. You might be wondering why this is news. Players get traded all the time. Well, little did you know Harder’s girlfriend, Magdalena Eriksson, is the captain of Chelsea Women. Harder is widely regarded as one of the, if not the best player in Europe. She helped Wolfsburg win four consecutive German league titles. And now, she’ll be playing her partner on the same team. This same team already has another explosive lesbian player, Sam Kerr. With the power of lesbianism on their side, expect Chelsea to pick up a bunch of Ws.

Caster Semenya Loses Appeal to Overturn CAS Ruling

The olympic track and field champion and lesbian lost her appeal to the Swiss Federal Tribunal ruling that female athletes with a naturally high level of testosterone must take medication to reduce it. Last year the Court of Arbitration, or the CAS, the highest court in sports, ruled that World Athletics regulations were necessary for athletes with difference in sexual development for races ranging from 400 meters to a mile. They argue that this is to ensure fairness in the competition. The tribunal states that certain female athletes being subjected to drug or surgical intervention does not violate Swiss public policy. But Semenya states, “I am very disappointed by this ruling, but refuse to let World Athletics drug me or stop me from being who I am. Excluding female athletes or endangering our health solely because of our natural abilities puts World Athletics on the wrong side of history. I will continue to fight for the human rights of female athletes, both on the track and off the track, until we can all run free the way we were born. I know what is right and will do all I can to protect basic human rights, for young girls everywhere.” Semenya also states that she will focus on shorter sprint races at the Tokyo Olympics.

Is Happiest Season the Lesbian Christmas Rom-Com We’ve Been Waiting For?

Maybe! It stars Kristen Stewart as Abby, a woman who plans to propose to her girlfriend during Christmas. But her girlfriend, Harper, played by San Junipero’s Mackenzie Davis, has yet to come out to her conservative parents. The movie is directed and co-written by lesbian icon Clea DuVall and she says, “I’m a huge fan of Christmas movies, but I had never seen my story represented… Happiest Season felt like a great opportunity to tell a universal story from a new perspective.” Once again giving the lesbians what we need. Happiest Season is set to be released on November 25th, 2020.
