Morning Brew – Kristen Stewart and Juliette Binoche get intimate for “Interview”

Good morning!

I’m heading to the National Lesbian and Gay Journalist Association Convention and Media Summit in Chicago tomorrow so Heather Hogan will be taking over Brew for the rest of the week. While I have you here, if you are also going or live in the Chicago area, please come to our super fun meet-up and comedy event on Friday!

Clouds of Sils Maria co-stars Juliette Binoche and Kristen Stewart cuddled for two new covers of Interview magazine.

Their interview has yet to be posted, but here’s a quote from Juliette:

“Of course I Googled you. Why? I needed to know whom I am supposed to meet and play with. I did watch some interviews of yours and instantly decided that I like you. I also watched On The Road — and skipped Twilight. Although I have to admit that the first time I ever saw you was on my daughter’s walls. I remember walking into her room thinking: So what the hell is this about?”
She probably found more than she wanted to know!

Michelle Rodriguez probably likes to do all her own stunts.

The Smithsonian is adding LGBT artifacts to its collection. Things I’d like to see: Shane’s leather outfit from Season 1 of The L Word, the airport microphone Ellen said “I’m gay” into on “The Puppy Episode” and Susie Bright’s on-set instructions for Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilley on how to have lesbian sex in Bound.

Ruby Rose is one of the latest celesbs to participate in the ALS ice bucket challenge.

Fox has officially cancelled Tina Fey’s women’s school comedy Cabot College. I hope Tina can find another job!

Lesbians: We have mo betta orgasms than you. That’s a bumper sticker if I ever saw one.

If you care about your lady parts, you should throw a V to Shining V party on September 27.

Annaleigh Ashford tells Vanity Fair that Betty DeMilo is based on a real person.

“Yeah, the specifics of her personal life are outrageously unknown-that is all fiction. But her origin story in the pilot, the way that she helps Dr. Masters by letting him film her sessions with her Johns, and also when they would talk afterwards about her sessions and when she urged him to hire a female partner-that is all based off of a real person.”
Her performance on this week’s Masters of Sex was unreal.

In case you are wondering, Rosie Pierri is single.

Cara Delevingne is one of the supermodels that made Vogue‘s September issue cover this year. Arizona Muse is on the extended page cover, too. I love when It Girls date girls.

Desire Akhavan’s Appropriate Behavior has been picked up by Gravitas Ventures and will be available in theaters and VOD in early 2015.

Jane Fonda posted a blog about her new show with Lily Tomlin, Grace & Frankie, and included some fun photos.

Mich Fest founder Lisa Vogel released a statement about their policies and it doesn’t seem as if it will quell any complaints.

To Here Knows When is a road trip film about two women who ultimately fall for one another. Check it out on Kickstarter. (Thanks Dana!)

See You Next Tuesday opens this Friday in New York, and the dark comedy includes a “vulgar lesbian sister” character played by Molly Plunk. Check back later this week for our review.

Yes, Virginia, you can be married and still identify as bisexual.
