In this exclusive clip from The Girl King, Sweden’s Queen Kristina (Malin Buska) has it bad for one of her ladies in waiting, Ebba (Sarah Gadon). Kristina tells Ebba she will become her official bed companion, an actual position in the royal court. The two women were thought to be lovers in real life, and the film explores their relationship as well as Queen Kristina’s reign.
Wolfe is releasing The Girl King on DVD and VOD on 12/8, and theatrically on 12/4 in Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose,and Minneapolis. We will have interviews with star Malin Buska and director Mika Kaurismäki in the coming weeks.
