Clea DuVall gives Tegan and Sara’s “Intervention” song a behind-the-scenes music video

Clea DuVall‘s The Intervention opens this Friday and friends/frequent collaborators Tegan and Sara have an all-new original song in the film called “Fade Out.” Clea has released a new music video for the track, made up of behind-the-scenes moments and B-roll, so it’s a must-see for any fans of any parties involved, including stars Natasha Lyonne, Alia Shawkat, Melanie Lynskey and Cobie Smulders.

“‘Fade Out’ captures the emotional complexity of the film,” Clea told Rolling Stone. “I love the duality of the dreamy melody with the somewhat bittersweet lyrics. When Sara first played me the finished song, all of my anxiety disappeared. The more I hear it, the more I fall in love with it.”

Clea is such a T&S fan that she had Sara Quin in charge of scoring the music in the film. Sara tells Rolling Stone, “A lot of the first few weeks primarily involved me Googling ‘How do I score a film?'”

But that’s exactly why Clea wanted her to do it.

“A big reason why I wanted to work with Sara on the score is because she hasn’t done it before,” Clea said. “I wanted something that didn’t sound like the scores I am used to hearing. I’m really thrilled with how it turned out.”
