Episode 5: The Drowned Woman

This episode is all about the Drew Crew killing the Agleaca (or Sea Witch, or Odette. You decide.) The gang gathers all the stuff they can related to how Odette was murdered, hoping that if they throw this at the Agleaca she will die.

As they draw closer to their death times, the gang really begins to fight with one another, particularly ganging up on Nancy for getting them in to this situation.

Nancy divides up the sand that could kill Odette and everyone goes to their death places. As they separate, they all end up calling one another and making up for their past arguments. The Agleaca shows up with Nick and George, who fling the sand on her and stun her, thinking she is finally dead.

However, when the Drew Crew gets back together, they find that Odette is still amongst them. Cut to all their final moments with their loved ones as they prepare to die, for real.

Then they figure it out. Odette’s Kryptonite is love. Odette was a lesbian (bless up) and had written love letters to a woman across the ocean who she was very much in love with. The gang decides to read these letters to Odette the next time she shows up. IT WORKS! Odette vanishes, but George had gotten stabbed somehow and literally dies.

Nancy runs to the archives and opens up every drawer, finding a blanket of Odette’s. Bringing it back to George, Nancy lays it on her and George wakes up. But, to George’s dismay, Odette has attached herself to her… more on that later.

Episode 6: The Riddle of The Broken Doll

Things around town are a little different now. Nancy was arrested for breaking in to the morgue, and is currently serving community service hours. While in the morgue, Nancy notices a dead body comes in, sewn like a doll.

George is sick, and every time she gets dizzy, something shatters or breaks around her and sometimes Odette appears. Only to George, though.

The dead body from the morgue shows up in Nancy’s home (she stole it) and gathers the gang to investigate more about it. There are bugs EVERYWHERE after they mess with the body, and the body begins to pour fresh blood. Meaning that it’s actually alive???

They find out that the body is actually an Alamea, a demon that hunts children. Oh great. Wonderful. Love that. The Alamea had killed Charles Fowler and several other children as well.

They find out that lavender (is this some kind of lesbian symbolism or lesbian coincidence?) can kill the Alamea from a young boy who talks to Charles Fowler’s ghost, Leo. (Leo is the morgue guy’s son that is in charge of Nancy’s community service supervision.) The Alamea actually heads to The Claw, where George’s kid sisters are…

The gang shows up and kills the Alamea after discovering that the body had taken George’s sisters; however, with a little luck and lavender they do manage to kill it. Hooray!

Towards the end of the episode it’s important to note that Carson hires Nancy to investigate for him part time, and Odette is still with George for the time being. Ooof.

Episode 7: Legend of the Murder Hotel

In this episode, the local college Volleyball Team is hazing one of their new members by locking her in a haunted hotel room. When Jen, the new member, goes missing, the team goes to Nancy for help.

The episode focuses a lot on Nancy’s relationship to college — she had always wanted to go, but after her mom’s death the idea of college was derailed.

Nancy, Bess, and George find a dresser in the haunted hotel room that leads to the basement; they get Ace to hack the hotel footage and find out that George was there the night Jen disappeared. Not only that, but George found Jen, and spoke with her. However, George has no memory of this, and that’s when she comes clean that she has been possessed by Odette.

It turns out, though, that Odette/George did not kill Jen; Jen had talked with George but fled the scene herself. Nancy finds her at a bus station, and learns that Jen just didn’t want to be under so much pressure with the team and college.

Meanwhile, Nick has been working with Ryan to help him take down his family. Ryan takes a job under his father’s thumb to gain access to all his secrets, hoping to take him down for Nancy’s sake.

At the end of the episode, Nancy decides to apply for college. Ace heads back to the haunted hotel to flirt with the front desk girl, and while he is doing so, a man shows up saying he’s looking for his wife. He shows the front desk girl a photo, and it’s our resident lesbian… Bess!
