iO Tillett Wright has an inspiring ambition to capture the faces of millions of Americans that identify as anything other than straight. She’s taken her camera to 31 cities thus far, but is hoping to expand and capture 10,000 queer faces for an eventual exhibition in Washington, D.C. In the new video for the campaign, called We Are You, LGBT-identified personalities and allies lend their voices and faces to the call for visibility, including Amber Heard, Sia Furler, Olivia Thirlby, Penn Badgley, Steve Buscemi, Kylie Minogue, Kiyomi McCloskey and Gaby Hoffmann.
Check out the new video that explains why something like We Are You is so necessary and what you can do to help. I was able to pose when iO was at the Dinah in Palm Springs and am so happy I had the chance to participate.
