Morning Brew – Emma Stone plays a lesbian in “Birdman”

Good morning!

Today’s #TBT: Chely Wright in 2001.

We’re doing our weekly live chat with Laura Petracca of Hunter Valentine and Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project at 1 pm ET today. Ask questions on Twitter using #asklaura.

Emma Stone gets her gay on in the new film Birdman. She plays Michael Keaton’s lesbian daughter as he is an aging actor struggling to find his dignity again. The trailer has some women kissing, so yes, I will be seeing this.

Sophia Bush designed an HRC T and it’s super cute.

Big Brother housemate Frankie Grande is gay, but he thinks lesbians are very different. Here’s what he told his peers on national television:

“Any lesbians choose to become lesbians later in life,” Grande told his housemates. “Women who have been with man after man after man after man choose to become a lesbian later in life. Gay men it doesn’t work so much that way,” he explained. “It’s usually they’re like, ‘Oh OK, no, I’m gay.'”
How many lesbians do you know, Frankie?

Uzo Aduba shared her behind-the-scenes Emmys photos with BuzzFeed.

Who’s Afraid of Vagina Wolf will be available on DVD September 26!

Garrison Starr has a new lyric video for “I Could Be Your Girl.”

If you watched the Pretty Little Liars season finale and want some answers, The Hollywood Reporter and TVLine have some for you.

It’s official: Naya Rivera is only a small part of Glee‘s final season. Jane Lynch and Dot Jones, though are both regulars.

Parentage has a nice piece on a lesbian couple, writers Megan Bayles and Achy Obejas, and their very cute kid.

Kate McKinnon told E! all about her impressions of Justin Bieber and Ellen DeGeneres, and also gave Glamour her “dos and dont’s” for life. I enjoy this one: “Don’t Cry in a Starbucks When You Could Be Celebrating at a Hooters.”

American Horror Story: Freak Show has a new character art poster. So good.
