After 1.5 million votes (and only half that many tears), we have arrived at the AfterEllen March Madness: Best Lesbian/Bi Character Ever Elite Eight! Of the eight remaining characters, only three currently grace our TVs: Lost Girl‘s Lauren Lewis, Glee‘s Santana Lopez, and Pretty Little Liars‘ Emily Fields. The rest of the field is made up of two pair of The L Word and Skins alumni – Bette Porter and Shane McCutcheon, and Emily Fitch and Naomi Campbell – and every lesbian’s favorite fictional florist, Luce from Imagine Me & You.
Voting for the Elite Eight will be open until Thursday, April 4th at 10:00 p.m. EST. Like always, you will be able to vote once per hour for your favorite characters.

Update: This poll was reset on Tuesday, April 2nd due to votes that were cast by a hacker. If either team hacks the poll again, both teams will be disqualified. We’re working on an internal solution to stop hacking on all future polls, but it is not ready to launch quite yet. So for now, this is the best option available to us.
