Morning Brew – Christina Ricci is a hot Lizzie Borden for Lifetime

Good morning!

Monifah is returning for a new season for R&B Divas Atlanta. She’ll be joined by Syleena Johnson, Angie Stone and Keke Wyatt, while Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert and LaTocha Scott opted not to return. Perhaps we’ll be seeing Monifah and Terez getting hitched on screen!

Out lesbian Rosie Ellingham went on ITV This Morning to discuss Stonewall’s new campaign “Gay: Let’s Get Over It.” Yahoo recaps:

Rosie vividly remembers being only nine years-old and being called a lesbian at school when she herself didn’t even know what a lesbian was. At the time, she was unaware of her own sexuality; she assumed that being a lesbian was a bad thing because she was being bullied for it, and it left her with negative feelings and unable to talk to anyone about her sexuality as she grew up.

I hate when people know you’re a lesbian before you do!

Christina Ricci is definitely playing a hot version of alleged ax murderer and lesbian Lizzie Borden. Since it’s Lifetime, though, she’ll likely have it bad for a brooding dude.

Lost Girl‘s EP Emily Andras has lot’s of great intel on Lauren, Bo, Tamsin, Crystal and everything else you want to know about, especially if you’re into knowing what’s ahead.

In case you’re wondering, Ellen and Portia are still the cutest ever.

Brittney Griner and Abby Wambach are up for espnW’s Most Impactful Athlete of 2013. Abby’s currently in second place, while Brittney is lagging behind. Vote for your faves!

Cynthia Nixon has a new gig on the NBC show Hannibal. She talked with Parade about the role and also “wedded bliss” with wife Christine Marinoni:

“It’s very nice being married and I have certainly had a tremendous advantage the last six years in that Christine’s been with the kids and has been a stay-at-home mom. That’s a luxury that not a lot of families have these days. I think she’s getting ready to go back to work, but it certainly has been great for our family having one of us home all the time.”

Do you watch Mike & Molly? Apparently the show had a lot of anti-LGBT “jokes” on this week’s episode.

Evan Rachel Wood told IndieWire a bit about her upcoming film, Into the Forest:

It’s apocalyptic. It’s about two sisters, Ellen Page and I play the roles, and you get the sense that the world is kind of coming to an end. There”s no gas, there’s no electricity, there’s no water. You don’t really know what”s happened in the world but you know something has gone very wrong. And it”s basically just about them trying to survive together in the middle of the woods.

Why do they have to be sisters? Oh well, still seeing it.

Marla Sokoloff has joined the cast of The Fosters as Mike’s sober companion. I have loved Marla ever since she was Gia on Full House and joined Stephanie’s short-lived band called Girl Talk. She was also in one of my favorite teen movies of all time, Whatever it Takes, which also stars her ex-boyfriend James Franco, Shane West and pre-Breaking Bad breakout Aaron Paul. (Find it and watch it on a rainy day!)

Bleeding Cool has some of the final panels from Fearless Defenders and damn they’re good (and gay!)

Bisexual reality star/singer K. Michelle has a new holiday song called “Christmas Night.”
