Morning Brew – Jodie Foster and Sharon Stone pose for “W”

Good morning! Here’s this week’s #TBT: Sandra Bernhard meeting Rosie O’Donnell’s then partner Kelli Carpenter at an L Word premiere.

Lorde is on the cover of Elle for October, and inside she says she’s proud of how she inspires fans:

“People have told me that I’ve helped them feel confident, like they can say things they want to say. They can talk about feminism in class without people calling them a lesbian. That’s so amazing that I can make someone feel like that.”

How about let’s teach all her fans to not see “lesbian” as an insult?

Charice‘s mom wasn’t happy about her coming out, but it looks like she’s coming around! Charice posted a photo of her with her girlfriend, mom and male family member.

If you’ve never read Alison Bechdel’s Fun Home, you can read it this month with The Atlantic‘s Twitter-based book club.

In case you forget which Litchfield inmates have slept with others, or who wants to kill who, has been chosen for the prestigious Film Independent Screenwriters Lab for her script, At First, which sounds awesome. The plot:

Anna, a woman recovering from the death of her girlfriend, and Sam, a transgender man guarding his own secrets, throw themselves into one long night together through the vibrant and diverse L.A. neighborhood of Echo Park, figuring out what it means to love and be loved, without the fantasy of ever after.

I’d love to see this one get made!
