Fans of The Office might have to do a double take when they see Melora Hardin in Transparent. The actress has chopped off her hair and taken on the role of Tammy, the ex-girlfriend of Sarah Pfefferman (Amy Landecker) in the new Amazon series premiering on September 26. When we meet Tammy, she’s married to Barb (played by Tig Notaro) and they have a daughter together, who just so happens to go to school with Sarah’s kids. The college lovers reconnect and Tammy is a big part of Transparent, which thrills us to no end as Melora is perfect in the part.
We chatted with Melora at the L.A. premiere, where she was kind enough to recreate her magical sunglasses moment from the pilot.
