Morning Brew – Ellen celebrates her seventh anniversary with Portia at the Teen Choice Awards

Good morning!

Sharon Stone gets nude in Harper’s Bazaar and says she has so many lesbian friends, it makes it hard for her to date. (Or maybe it’s the fact you are Sharon Fucking Stone and dudes are intimidated by that, queen!)

Out actress Stacey Raymond and wife Leah are on this week’s What Would You Do? as expecting wives who deal with a homophobic baby store clerk.

Goodyn Green is making some lesbian feminist porn.

Lea DeLaria is on Ice T & Coco today, talking about her proposal story.

More LGBT scientists are feeling comfortable being out in the lab.

Some of our waves won big at the Teen Choice Awards last night. Cara Delevigngne was named both Choice Movie Breakout Star and Choice Summer Movie Star: Female, Pretty Little Liars swooped up Choice TV Show: Drama, Choice TV Actor: Drama (Ian Harding), Choice TV Actress: Drama (Lucy Hale), Choice TV Villain (A), and Choice Summer TV Star: Female (Ashley Benson). The entire USWNT was awarded Choice Female Athlete, and Ellen DeGeneres took home Choice Comedian. Ellen’s speech was particularly awesome because it was her seventh anniversary with wifey Portia de Rossi.

Speaking of Ellen, she was at the D23 Expo this weekend to talk about Finding Dory. The Finding Nemo sequel will follow Dory (voiced by Ellen herself) as she searches for her family (Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy). We’ll have to wait for the film until June 17 of next year.

Patrick Couderc of Herve Leger had some bizarre things to say about who can and should wear his designs in The Mail on Sunday:

“If you’re a committed lesbian and you are wearing trousers all your life, you won’t want to buy a Leger dress. Lesbians would want to be rather butch and leisurely.”

I can assure you as a committed lesbian, I have often admired an Herve Leger dress, but now the dream is over.
