Back in October, 22-year-old Scream Queens star Keke Palmer released a super sexy music video for her song, “I Don’t Belong to You.” The end had her showing up in lingerie to greet a scantily clad Cassie, and the bisexual theme video had tongues wagging over Keke’s sexual identity. Keke recently talked with People about what the story meant to her.
“The video was to represent the young woman today—it’s not the traditional woman anymore—and not the specifics of ‘Am I gay? Am I straight? Am I bi?'” Keke said. “I’m making the rules for myself, and I don’t have to be stuck down to one label.”
People who follow Keke on Snapchat might have also caught a glimpse of her kissing Cassie, who has been dating Diddy for five years.
Keke got her start in Hollywood with a small part in Barbershop 2 before landing the lead role in Akeelah and the Bee when she was 13. Since then, she’s appeared in several other films and TV shows like ER and Masters of Sex, played Chili in VH1′s biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story and landed her own BET talk show, Just Keke. Her next big role will be playing Marty Maraschino in Fox’s Grease Live, airing on January 31.
