Emily runs through the hallways of Hollis, but her class door is closed. The stern teacher points to a “quiet” sign and then lowers the window blinds slowly in Emily’s face. I might have laughed out loud and re-watched this more than once.
Hanna and Spencer meet at the Brew, where they get news from Mona: she hacked Rollins burner phone and found texts from an anonymous number telling him that Ali was innocent. They wonder if maybe he wasn’t going to kill Ali in the woods, and discuss the identity of the texter. Is it Mary Drake? Jenna Marshall? Ali herself?
Ali swings by Emily’s place, wondering why her favorite Liar wasn’t there to greet her upon her release. Emily tells her about the test, and casually mentions that she had a date. Ali’s eyes go white with rage for a hot second and says, “I didn’t know you were seeing anyone.” Girl, of course you aren’t up to date on Emily’s love life: you just spent weeks in a mental hospital wearing a leather Hannibal mask! When was Emily supposed to tell you this: while you were drugged up at Wellby or in the car ride home after burying Rollins body?
