10 tasty tweets to get you ready for the “Pretty Little Liars” winter premiere!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Time to start counting down the days until that snow-covered morning when we wake up and rush downstairs to find the present we’ve all been waiting for: A brand new episode of Pretty Little Liars! Oh, yes, my darlings, on January , PLL will return for the second half of its second season, and it’s going to be a doozy. How much of a doozy, you ask? Well, the PLL creative team has been dropping spoilers and hints like gumdrops from heaven — or, um, tweets from Twitter — so I’ve assembled the most delicious teasers about the winter premiere.

Jarett Wieselman from TheInsider.com got his hands on a screener and he says the episode is the best one ever! Holly Marie Combs agrees!

WetPaint.com wonders if Emily is out of the group. Why would they wonder if Emily is out of the group? Oh, you know, just this little ditty from ABC Family’s official press release:

A month has passed on Pretty Little Liars since Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer were arrested and a lot has changed in Rosewood, and with the girls. No longer the mighty four best friends, the Liars are at each others’ throats and Emily has been iced out completely. But what could have divided them so severely? Has “A” finally won the game of divide and conquer? With Emily now truly on her own, is she ripe for “A’s” picking?

Ah, but it’s not all heartbreak and turmoil for our lovely Emily. Showrunner Marlene King says she and Maya are going to have some fun.

It’s not a spoiler, but I love that lesbian fans are Marlene King’s favorite fans.

Director Norman Buckley doesn’t give out spoilers, but he did tweet this photo from the set of the midseason premiere when he was directing it. Yep: That’s Hanna in a prison jumpsuit by some train tracks.

Editor Lois Blumenthal is a great Twitter tease. She promises big things for season 2.5!

I especially love it when Lois and Marlene start chatting secrets with each other.

One of the Liars is going to get in a legitimate fist fight with A! Oh, let it be Spencer!

Winter premiere writer Joseph Doughtery says it starts with a sinister song.

Well, that’s the best news of all!

If you haven’t seen the glory that is the winter premiere trailer yet, here you go:
