Forbes magazine listed the 2012 highest-paid TV actresses with Modern Family‘s Sofia Vergara claiming the number one spot. Vergara made $19 million dollars last year. Um, that’s a lot of money. Who else made bank? Tina Fey ($11 million), Mariska Hargitay ($10 million), Zooey Deschanel ($10 million) and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Ellen Pompeo ($9 million).

Yesterday the Boy Scouts of America announced it will uphold its longtime policy of banning openly gay boys from membership and gay or lesbian adults from serving as leaders. The chief Scout executive Bob Mazzuca said, “The vast majority of the parents of youth we serve value their right to address issues of same-sex orientation within their family, with spiritual advisors and at the appropriate time and in the right setting. We fully understand that no single policy will accommodate the many diverse views among our membership or society.”
The Boys Scouts of America also posted a press release on their website stating:
After careful consideration of a resolution asking the Boy Scouts of America to reconsider its longstanding membership standards policy, today the organization affirmed its current policy, stating that it remains in the best interest of Scouting and that there will be no further action taken on the resolution.
All I can say is this news makes me very very sad.
