Morning Brew – Pauley Perrette directs a lesbian prom story for The Trevor Project

Good morning!

Sally Kohn has left her post as lesbian talking head on Fox and appeared, this week, on rival network MSNBC. The New York Times quotes a Fox spokesperson as saying it was a “gracious and amicable parting.”

Bridesmaids director Paul Feig is producing a new Peanuts film for Fox. Maybe Peppermint Patty will finally kiss Lucy.

Anna Pulley wrote about the negative aspects of being bisexual for Slate.

Over on Policy Mic, another woman writes about her experience as a bisexual.

Joan Jett‘s new video is premiering today and I already like her outfit.

Tessa Ferrer talked with The Hollywood Reporter about her Grey’s character, Leah, falling for Arizona.

I was really excited for a number of reasons because Leah loves to fall in love, so I knew it would be juicy because that’s who her character has been established as: She’s an easy faller. And I love Jessica. The fans love “Calzona” so much that I was excited to stir it up. (Laughs.)

Tessa isn’t on Twitter so she said she hasn’t felt too much fan backlash.

Kathyn Prescott is going to star in a new pilot called Finding Carter. Strangely she has a twin in the show that will not be played by her real life twin sister Megan.

NCIS actress Pauley Perrette co-directed this lesbian-themed short film for The Trevor Project.

Orange is the New Black stars Laverne Cox, Danielle Brooks and Uzo Adubo attended the Trevor NextGen 4th Annual Fall Fete in New York last night.

Interview magazine has a Q&A with out Carrie director Kimberly Peirce.

EW interviewed Pretty Little Liars EP Oliver Goldstick about the Halloween episode and new season. This part gave me pause:

There’s several heartbreaking situations going on for our girls. Even Emily and Paige run into some real trouble. All of our girls hit the skids at one point in the 4B season.
