Played Out: Hazy Days

Happy Friday, y’all. This week was filled with a couple happy surprises: a new EP from FKA Twigs and Lana Del Rey’s second single off her upcoming full length, not to mention some really fun fillers. Enjoy.

FKA Twigs  – “M3LL155X”

Good morning ladies. Twigs just dropped a five-track EP along with a 17-minute video documenting the whole thing out of the blue. Enjoy.

Kiiara – “Feels”

Twenty-year-old Kiiara is killing summer this year. And it’s all I want to be listening to today.

Monika – “Secret In The Dark”

Grecian pop star making ’70s disco-pop with the help of Dap-Kings member Homer Steinweiss. Oh come on, yes please.

Angel Haze – “Babe Ruthless”

Everyone’s favorite pansexual rapper with their latest call to arms. If Angel is gonna keep putting out good music, I’ll just have to keep posting it.

Blank Realm – “Palace Of Love”

Get me to the pool. Or at least an opium den.

Lana Del Rey – “High By The Beach”

LBH: You like Lana Del Rey, you’re going to *somehow* get your hands on Honeymoon when it comes out, and you also want to get high by the beach. Me too.

Lapsley – “Burn”

Lapsley is making some of the most complex and yet still austere electronic pop out there. “Burn” is an advanced B side from her upcoming single “Hurt Me” and it sounds anything but A quality.

Joanna Newsom – “Sapokanikan”

First new Joanna Newsom in five years, replete with a video from Inherent Vice director Thomas Anderson. More of what we’ve always loved.

Babes – “Life Come Into Me”

LA five piece Babes just released this endlessly entertaining video for what is otherwise a really solid song. Also proves that they’re quite weird and I quite like that.

Jacuzzi Boys – “Sun”

Miami scuzz rockers Jacuzzi Boys are back. “Sun” is both ending this playlist and reminding us that summer is nearing an end, so collect those last glorious days of rays and bask in their glory, ladies.
