Afternoon Delight: Scarlett Johansson goes “Psycho,” Mila Kunis gives voice to a “beautiful demon”

Good afternoon and TGIF!

Happy birthday to The Help actress Bryce Dallas Howard! I worked with Howard on the play Eat Cake at NYU. Howard literally eat 10 cakes each night on stage. My job was to clean the cake up off the floor. Boy, I’ve come so far…

Check out the newest trailer for the film Avengers starring my wife’s dream woman, Scarlett Johansson:

Speaking of my nemesis, Johansson has signed on to play the role of Janet Leigh in the film Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho. The upcoming biopic also starring Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren and will reveal the difficulties Hitchcock suffered during the making of the famed horror film.

Jennifer Lawrence is on the cover of April’s Glamour magazine. (OK, I promise to stop mentioning Lawrence in this column, that is until HG: Catching Fire comes out.) Watch Lawrence’s adorable behind-the-scenes shoot in which she discusses wearing a necktie in grade school and preferring to be pants-less. I’m with you on that one, Jen!

Mila Kunis (Black Swan) is lending her voice to the animated comedy Hell & Back. Kunis will play “a beautiful demon whose ability to navigate the underworld makes her the toughest creature in hell.” Well whatever Kunis is selling, I’m buying.

Sorry Grey’s Anatomy fans, last night was a repeat episode. To ensure that you don’t project your disappointment onto me, I present to you a photo of Sara Ramirez (aka Dr. Callie Torres).

If you need some inspiration today, actress Sheetal Sheth (I Can’t Think Straight) shares a powerful insight with us via Twitter.

Tonight out comedian Erin Foley will be headlining the famed Hollywood Improv. Gloria Bigelow will also be taking the stage at 8 pm so don’t be late!

Speaking of fabulous comedy, join funny ladies Gina Yashere, Fortune Feimster and Poppy Champlin on Saturday, March 24 at the Birch North Park Theater in San Diego, CA.

Attention everyone who loves angsty 90s music! Ani Difranco is currently touring the nation. Check out her tour dates and if you live in Los Angeles buy your tickets to the March 24 show at the Orpheum Theatre sooner-than later because the show is expected to sell out. (I have no proof of that, but it gives my write up some urgency.)

Lesbian/Bi Photo of the Day!

Out actress Amber Heard was sitting pretty at the Vanity Fair Montblanc party in Los Angeles.
