Morning Brew – Wed. April 3: “Evil Dead” has a bloody lesbian kiss, Heather Morris is pregnant

Good morning!

If you’re a fan of horor films like I am, then you might already be planning on seeing the Evil Dead remake. Well it appears there is a very bloody lesbian kiss in the film, which you can see at the end of this video. Horrifying!

Erin McKeown is blogging about music this week for WNYC’s Soundcheck.

New York magazine interviewed Dana Rudolph of, saying lesbian mommy blogs are all the rage. Well I guess if they say so! Dana’s been at it for years, so she noted the biggest change she’s seen since she started blogging:

In general, there’s a lot more visibility for LGBT families both within the gay media and also in the mainstream media. Even mainstream parenting sites usually have at least one LGBT blogger who writes for them now, which is great to see. And of course the marriage equality conversation has evolved as well, although there is a different between marriage rights and parental rights, and they’re not always simultaneous. Not every parent wants to or can get married. In Iowa, same-sex couples can marry, but there’s at least one lesbian couple that’s still fighting to get both moms’ names on the birth certificate. So there are still hurdles, but there’s definitely been progress, and if you look on the national polls, support for same-sex couples has changed greatly during the past decade.

Eden Riegel said she can’t say a word about where Bianca Montgomery be at “romantically” when All My Children returns.

They’re being very secretive and I can’t reveal anything and some of it has to do with — Bianca was very affected by what happened at the end of the show — the big cliffhanger and her family is very affected by it, so if I tell you what’s going on with her romantically, it’s a big reveal.

We’ll have to wait until April 29 to see who she’s with. If it’s a guy, I’ll lose my mind.

OTEP has some new T-shirts you might be interested in buying.

Want to see what Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi did on their first day in Australia? Lucky for you cameras followed them around.

Jamie Babbit‘s new film Breaking the Girls has a sexy new poster.

Congrats to Heather Morris, who is expecting her first child! Will Brittany be having a baby, too?

Dani Shay has launched a Kickstarter to fund her recording an album and making a DVD and an activity book. Maybe she’ll even throw in an autographed photo of her winking. (Thanks Amy!)
