Feminist fashion: Wear Gloria Steinem on your sleeve

Have you ever thought it would be awesome to wear a bell hooks hoodie? Probably not, but in any case, it’s completely possible. KMStitchery is an independent eco-friendly clothing line that uses stencils of famous feminists for their items, which include jackets, T-shirts, skirts, dresses and tank tops.

So far, the collection includes stenciled items of Gloria Steinem, Emma Goldman, Simone De Beauvoir, Victoria Woodhull, Lucy Stone, Angela Davis and Frida Kahlo. (I know — it’s amazing!)

And the clothes are cute and modern in flattering fits and bright colors. You can rep feminism while looking totally stylish and being friendly to the environment. Wearing outfits like this for a night out is exactly what Emma Goldman meant when she said, “If I can’t dance, I don’t want your revolution.” At least that’s my interpretation.

Would you wear any of the clothes made by KMStitchery? Are they missing your favorite feminist?
