She was released Wednesday after serving 18 days of her 180-day sentence. But it’s not necessarily a case of celebrity privilege:
She was released early under a program that deals with jail overcrowding by allowing nonviolent female inmates to serve as little as 10 percent of their sentence.
I’m all for relieving overcrowding. But are they sure about the “nonviolent” part?
I guess this means she can go back to filming Avatar with Sigourney Weaver. And if you’re wondering what happened to Battle in Seattle, apparently it will have a limited release in March.
