This Saturday night, AfterEllen attended An Evening With Women, an annual event that raises money for the Los Angeles LGBT Center. And raise money they did, with donations and auctions raising over $700,000 that will go to projects benefitting “underserved seniors, women and girls, including the more than 2,000 homeless LGBT youth in Los Angeles.”
Every year An Evening brings out queer women and allies alike, and the 2015 performers were exceptionally amazing with Sarah Silverman performing stand-up, Sia singing alongside inspired dancer Denna Thomsen, and No Doubt digging out fan favorites like “Don’t Speak” and “Just a Girl” for a crowd-pleasing close to the night.
Some of the evening’s best moments include Fortune Feimster auctioning off a double date with her and Glee star Chris Colfer, and then joking that Sarah Silverman would make out with her if people kept the bids going. (She made good on the promise, which you can see in the gallery below.)
