Morning Brew – Cate Blanchett talks “Carol” with “W” and “Good Morning America”

Good morning! I’m eating a muffin that is just OK.

Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher explain how they got their new show on NBC’s streaming service Seeso.

Speaking of Cameron, you can hear her talk more about being a woman and a lesbian with WBUR.

No one could pay me enough to build them Ikea furniture. I’m a terrible lesbian.

A lesbian couple are joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey. (For real this time!) Robyn Levy and Christina Flores are friends with Teresa and Joe Giudice, and Robyn owns a “red carpet event and publicity company called Velocity 1 Media.”

Cate Blanchett talks about Carol in W this month. A quote:

“Art is supposed to be a provocation, not an education. In 2015, the point should be: Who cares if I had lesbian relationships or not? Call me old-fashioned, but I’ve always thought that my job as an actor was to raise and expand the audience’s sense of the universe.”

She was also on Good Morning America yesterday and you will enjoy everything she has to say, as well as what co-star Sarah Paulson says about her.

Having two moms is awesome, yet we’re still fighting for the right to be able to adopt our own kids. Sigh.

The Chicago Tribune profiles Felicia “Snoop” Pearson and talks about her new (gay!) role in Spike Lee‘s Chi-Raq.

“The role I’m playing (Dania) is like a tomboy-slash-tomgirl, you know? With two pigtails in my hair. That’s all I can tell you, I think.”
