We open with a newscaster jumping out of her car to cover Batwoman fighting the False Face Society. Batwoman takes over the mic, and challenges Black Mask, saying she will find him. Meanwhile, Kane is watching the newscast from his car and is attacked by FFS.

Kane has a dream about saving Beth (who we know is Alice as a child) from captivity. When he wakes up, he finds two needles in his arm, which we know can only be the infamous Snake Bite drug he is trying to take down.

Cut to Luke and Ryan in the Batcave. Luke compliments her newscast and Ryan realizes that she is late to meet Angelique at prison. So, she goes to do just that. Ryan tries to convince Ang to give up the people who framed her, Ang accused Ryan of dating Batwoman. We have to laugh.

Later that night, we are at Ryan’s community center opening. While people are presenting and mingling, a reporter from the Gazette asks them about their security. The community center essentially has no security, as they don’t believe in guns.

Sophie’s sister bring the community center tutor over to Ryan, and introduces the two of them. However, right as they start talking (and flirting, we might add) the community center is attacked by the FFS. It is set on fire!

At the Batcave, Luke researches the reporter from the Gazette, as they have a hunch that is question about security could be pertinent to the attack. The reporters name is Horton Spence, and he was FIRED from the Gazette months prior.

Jump to Sophie and Julia. Julia tells Sophie how she has forgotten where she’s been and what she’s been doing, and Sophie blames it on Julia’s alcohol usage. Hmph. Julia then gets a message about a potential break in, and goes to follow the lead. Turns out, the lead was Alice. Alice wants Julia to be her partner, saying she wants to find Enigma and leave Gotham forever. Julia agrees, simply because she knows who Enigma is already and wants Alice gone.

Meanwhile, Kane is meeting with a professional to discuss Snake Bite (now that he has been exposed.) The doctor accuses Kane of being on Snake Bite, and says she can help him.

Ryan confronts Horton in an alley (why are we always in alleys?) and he says that he’s been looking into various community center attacks, thinking they could be correlated. Right as they discuss this, the FFS attacks. Horton is knocked out, but Ryan kicks some ass, as per usual. Then she steals one of the FFS’s guns, and takes Horton too.

At Mary’s clinic, Mary is trying to help Horton recover, and they discover he is telling the truth about the community center attacks. Luke looks at the FFS gun and almost destroys the Batcave.

Alice is chatting with Julia about their next moves. Alice says she wants all her memory of Kate erased, and they discover that Julia had been meeting with a doctor recently…

Speaking of doctors, Kane is now in therapy with one. He says his biggest regret in life is not saving Beth. The doctor tells him to save his relationship with Mary while he still can.

Ryan heads back to prison to chat with Mickey K, who she thinks is behind the FFS attacks. However, he has an alibi, as he’s… in jail.

Ryan visits Ang again and convinces her to give up the names of her framers.

Cut to the Black Mask killing his guys because there isn’t enough Snake Bite on the streets now that Ocean is gone.

Ryan tells Sophie to get Ang out of prison and gives her the names of the people who framed her. Then back at the Batcave, Luke figures out that Mickey’s alibi is trash, and they reused footage in the security cam to make it look like he was in prison. Mickey’s parole officer let him out, Ellis O’Brian.

Roman visits Kane’s office because he found Snake Bite at one of his stores. Yikes.

Julia confronts Dr. Rhyme about why they have been chatting. Who is Dr. Rhyme? None other than the doctor who’s been helping Kane, but she is also ENIGMA. You know, the woman who can erase people’s memories completely? Yeah, her. Rhyme stabs Julia so that she will forget everything.

Ryan confronts Ellis about destroying community centers to create environments for kids to stay on the streets, eventually funding his prisons. At the same time, the Crows find a bunch of dead bodies leftover from Black Mask + FFS’s killings. Speaking of, the FFS comes to kill Ryan in defense of Ellis and Luke actually shoots them down.

Alice sneaks into Rhyme’s office. She’s licking things and being her usually crazy self, but stumbles on the tape of Kane’s therapy sessions where he says he wishes he saved her. She erases the tape.

Mary talks with Horton about his aftercare, and congratulates him on getting his job back. Kane shows up at the clinic, saying he wants to make it legit, which goes against everything Mary stands for. Ooops.

Julia tells Sophie she’s moving to Berlin because she woke up and it felt right. Could Enigma have something to do with that?

Ryan is now back at work at the bar, and the teacher from the community center shows up and flirts with her a little bit. At that moment, Sophie walks in and says that Ang has been sprung and is going into witness protection. She hands Ryan and phone and says to call Ang, because they may not be able to talk for awhile.

Kane does Snake Bite again, and dreams of saving Beth, which he never did. Snake Bite alters your memory… kind of like Enigma does… you know?

While Ryan talks to Ang, Ang’s car is attacked by FFS who kidnap her — then the episode ends.

Until next time, Batwoman lesbians…
