How to Thrive Through Pisces Season

Did you feel that shift? You’ve been suddenly plunged into a well of emotions and you sat back and stared at yourself in the mirror saying, “What is up with you?” Yes, that’s Pisces season. February 18th marked the sun’s move into Pisces and now we are all feeling the watery presence.

Pisces season is complex: spiritual, imaginative, mystical, and even a smidge surreal. The breadth of emotions you’re going to feel will run the full gamut from overwhelming joy to sorrow. What’s the best way to navigate this magically passionate and melodramatic chapter? Soothing and grounding yourself with good self care. 

Take a bath.

Honor the fluidity of your current emotional headspace by submerging yourself in water. Pick your potion: epsom salt, oils, bath bombs, clay, etc. Make your space dreamy and relaxing. Light a candle and grab a book or turn on some Solfeggio Frequencies to attune with your highest self. 

Write in your journal.

In this season, it’s easy to pick up on everyone else’s emotions. The best way to re-align your internal compass and discern your own feelings from the waterfall inundating you is to write. Just start penning a stream-of-consciousness and watch yourself disentangle your confusion in real time. Bonus: it’s lovely to re-visit previous entries and see your own evolution and inner work transpiring. 

Create an intention.

Give your imaginative mood an anchor. Sit down in the sunshine, metaphorical or actual, and meditate on what you need. Notice I didn’t tell you to meditate on what you want — there are so many of those thoughts floating around, but what do you need? Your heart knows. Take that word or that sentence: that is your intention.. Hold it daily, write it down, chant it as an affirmation, carry it into all of your actions and try to keep it in the forefront of your mind. Let your intention shape you through the magic of Pisces’ season.

Give back.

Find someone or something to pour yourself into. Pisces vibe holds a lot of compassion and celebrating that softness can offer much fulfillment. Don’t give of yourself until you are empty, but share what you are able and what energetically feels good. Pass encouraging notes to passerby, cook and share a meal, or donate your time to an organization that has your heart. There are limitless ways to give of yourself to brighten your local community and circle. Figure out what feels good to you and gift that energy outward.
