Kristen Stewart Joins the List of Celebrities Seeking the Supernatural

Kristen Stewart

This one’s for the spooky lesbians: Kristen Stewart is developing a ghost-hunting reality television show. The newly engaged lesbian icon knows exactly what the gays want and more: if her portrayal of Princess Diana in new movie Spencer wasn’t enough, she’s going to appeal to our witchy inclinations

What’s more gay than Kristen Stewart and ghosts? “Pretty things,” Kristen said to the New Yorker, “Gay people love pretty things.” The show, which Kristen describes as “a paranormal romp,” is just as much about the moody aesthetic as it is the ghost-hunting. “We are aiming for a richness,” she added.

Kristen isn’t the only celebrity seeking the supernatural on screen. Demi Lovato, a self-described “UFO experiencer,” visits UFO hot spots and alien abductees on the new Peacock television show, Unidentified. “I had a pretty profound experience on my 28th birthday,” Demi said to EW. “I made [alien] contact, and it was a pretty mind-blowing experience. Ever since then, I started to look into this more and I wanted to do a show about it.”

Kesha – not only beloved by the gays but also an out bisexual – joins the list of celebrity spook-lovers with her upcoming discovery+ series Conjuring Kesha. The show, which will be an hour-long, six-part series, isn’t Kesha’s first foray into the freaky. Her podcast “Kesha and the Creepies” explores “supernatural subjects and alternative lifestyles,” according to Apple

Kesha’s song “Supernatural” also reflects her belief in ghosts. “[The song] is about experiences with the supernatural, but in a sexy way,” Kesha said to Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM, “I had a couple of experiences with the supernatural.” Talking about her album Warrior, Kesha said “There are so many weird topics on this record, from having sexy time with a ghost to getting hypnotized and going into past lives…I just really wanted the theme of this record to be the magic of life.”

“Over the course of my life, I’ve always been drawn to the supernatural and the spiritual realm,” Kesha told Travel Channel. “Making music I’ve felt was a cosmic connection between my soul and something bigger than me that I couldn’t explain. On this new show, I will bring along my friends to some of the most mysterious paranormal hotspots to explore with me. We will explore life’s great mysteries and aim to catch something never-before-seen on camera.”

Kristen Stewart hasn’t released further details about her future ghost-hunting show. It’s not confirmed whether Kristen will appear in front of the camera, either. But anything Kristen Stewart and ghostly will have the lesbians coming in flocks. At least there’s Kesha’s Conjuring Kesha or Demi Lovato’s Unidentified to keep us entertained while we wait!
