Have I got some scorching hot news for you! It has just been verified that L Word: Generation Q has been renewed for a 3rd season! Yes, I am using all the exclamation points!

Showtime released a statement today confirming their order of a 10-episode third season. The new episodes will air on the network later this year. Season two really left us hanging with a multitude of unfinished storylines, and we can all now breathe a collective sigh of relief knowing the suspense won’t be indefinite.

Season three of The L Word: Generation Q will be produced by original series stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey, showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan, along with series creator Ilene Chaiken, Kristen Campo, Allyce Ozarski, and Melody Derloshon. Check out that all female producer line-up — we love to see it! Will I make the same remark every time I see a powerhouse of women doing anything? Probably.

We can expect to see all of our new cast favorites from seasons 1 and 2, as well as our O.G.s, Beals, Moennig, and Hailey. If you’re looking for a refresher on how the last season ended, check out the recaps of season two’s episode 9 and episode 10. Listen to our podcast for a deeper dive recap and review of The L Word: Generation Q season 2 and to find out which L Word character Jocelyn and I resonate with.

That’s the short and the sweet of it, loves! Let’s seat a tentative group date night for Fall 2022 to see the drama fest of our favorite lesbian soap opera kick off yet again. We all in? Good, lez do it.
